There are several specializations available at master’s level that students can opt like Zoology, Tourism, Rural Development, Geology, History, Social work, Psychology, and more. Duration of Postgraduate courses is 2 years with 4 divided semesters. Common eligibility to pursue PG courses is having a bachelor’s degree in relevant courses. The minimum percentage required is 55% marks. North Bengal University admission at the PG level requires students to appear for entrance exams conducted at the university. Students who have appeared for any of these exams CAT/ XAT/ MAT/XMAT/GMAT/WBJEMAT can provide their scorecard to the university. The merit list will be published in 2 phases. North Bengal university offers PhD programs in various departments for session 2025-26. Students who want to pursue a research degree must hold a master’s degree with 55% aggregate marks can apply. Reserved category students will receive 5% relaxation in marks. Admission to the PhD course will start for the academic session 2025-26 from 15th April 2025*. Application forms for the PhD degree will be available online on the official website. Students rea required to submit INR 400 for the application fee. Admission to the PhD courses is based on the NET written entrance test conducted by NTA. Students can download their admit card to appear for the entrance test after submitting the application form.
